Port of Cuxhaven
In Cuxhaven, the "Halunder Jet" lands at the Alte Liebe. Alte Liebe is a cosy pier with a view, some cafés and shops. This is where you meet to see all the world's biggest vessels, that pass by very close. A loudspeaker system informs the astonished ship-viewers about the size and origin of the passing vessels. And of course about getting to Heligoland- please do not hestiate to ask our local staff!

To get to the Central Station in Cuxhaven, you may take the "Metronom" from Hamburg, which operates every hour, or the "Nordseebahn" RB33 from Bremerhaven (Buxtehude). Then, the bus line 1006 or a special service operator (AST), that you have to call prior to your arrival, will take you from the Central Station to "Alte Liebe". Take following buses, if you are travelling with AST: 1306, 1308, 1351 or 1354.
You will find chargeable parking spaces close to the harbor, right behind the dike. Payment is made by a coin-operated machine.
You may also consider the option to use the parking service that will take care of your vehicle. Your car will be parked in a car park during your stay on Heligoland and by your return it will be ready for you. Please contact us prior to your trip and call the below mentioned provider for further information.
Our recommendation: Accompanying persons with luggange should get out of the car and wait at "Alte Liebe" while the driver is parking. Please allow plenty of time (about 20 minutes) for handing over your vehicle and for getting to the terminal!
